About the course
차풀테펙 골프 클럽은 1927년 정식으로 문을 연 유서 깊은 명문 골프장이다. 멕시코 오프 대회를 오래도록 개최해왔던 골프장으로도 잘 알려져 있다. 멕시코 혁명 중 1921년에 첫 선을 보였지만, 1928년이 되어서야 새로운 디자인으로 조성하여 제대로 모양을 갖춰 개장하였다. 1944년부터 1960년까지 멕시코 오픈 대회를 개최했고, 2017년부터 국제프로 골프투어연맹이 주관하여 PGA와 EPGA를 같이 준비하는 대회인 WGC를 개최해오고 있다.
