What you can do
See more than a single number
Where course coordinates are available, compare straight-line distances to the front, center and back of the green. The difference helps you think about landing space instead of treating one center distance as the whole green.
Keep your reference point clear
Check the selected tee, hole and distance unit before playing. With a usable location, green distances start at your current position. Without it, a tee-based reference may be shown; the app distinguishes that origin so you can interpret it correctly.
Give each shot some context
Add a shot and review the shot list as you move through the hole. Club, lie and penalty details can be edited, and distances between recorded positions help you look back at the sequence. These are your recorded shots, not automatic tracking of every swing.

Set up the round
Choose the course, holes, tee and preferred distance unit. Make sure the displayed hole matches the one you are playing.

Check your location
Allow location access when using GPS and wait for a usable position. Look at the indicated distance origin before relying on the numbers.

Read the green and target
Compare the available green distances. A map target has its own distances; keep those separate from the distances measured from your current position.

Record and review a shot
Add a shot at the appropriate position, then check its club and other details. Review the list and correct or cancel an entry when necessary.

Make it part of your round
An unfamiliar approach
On a course you have never played, compare the front and back distances to understand the depth of the green. Combine that information with what you can see: wind, elevation and obstacles still require your judgment.
Looking back at a difficult hole
After a hole that took more shots than expected, revisit the recorded sequence. The positions and club choices provide useful context alongside the score, especially when you want to remember where the round changed.
Does the center distance point to today's flag?
No. Green front, center and back refer to the available course geometry. The center is not a confirmed live flag position. Use the pin information provided by the course when planning the shot.
Can I use meters or yards?
Yes. Select the distance unit for the round and check it before comparing the display with your usual club distances. Keep the same unit when reviewing tee and map information.
Why might a distance be missing or change?
A position may not yet be available, or that hole may lack usable coordinates. A new GPS fix can also change an estimate. Check the location state and selected hole rather than treating a missing value as zero.
